FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

January 5, 2010

Beethoven Found today announced that it is working with the VH1 Save The Music Foundation to save music education in the schools and to deliver music instruments to deserving students.  The main missions of the two (2) non-profit organizations are similar.  Individually, both companies promote the necessity for a complete well-rounded education, one which includes formal music training.   The year long partnership is beneficial to both organizations with Beethoven Found adding a classical component to VH1 Save the Music’s programming as well as enhancing the Foundation’s long-standing commitment to community and corporate reach. Beethoven Found also reminds us of the multitude of studies which show a musical background may raise your I.Q. and significantly increase a students’ chance of attending college.

For the first time ever, Beethoven’s rediscovered Overture to MacBeth and the Andante from the Oboe Concerto are the stars of a world tour featuring members of the NY Philharmonic, Boston Symphony, Chicago Symphony, Philadelphia Orchestra, National Symphony Orchestra, London Symphony, Vienna Philharmonic, Berlin Philharmonic, Saint Petersburg Philharmonic and other world famous orchestras.  Proceeds from this star studded world tour go to support the VH1 Save The Music Foundation in their efforts to restore instrumental music programs in America’s public schools.

More specifically, Beethoven Found helps children find their voice through music.  The organization remains dedicated to raising the awareness of the general public about the importance of a classical music education through the selection of strategic school benefactors who are currently being sought.  Further, they help to ensure each child has an equal opportunity to learn a musical instrument by providing free instruments, resources, mentoring and performance opportunities to students around the United States as well as perform worldwide classical music programs geared towards our younger and future generations.  More information is available at www.beethovenfound.com.

With the uncertain future of music education in our schools, the future of music is now brighter with the formation of the Beethoven Found/VH1 Save The Music joint venture.  Together a new bridge is being built to save the future of music in our communities.

“Music is a more potent instrument than any other for education, because rhythm and harmony find their way into the inward places of the soul.”

- Plato
