PUBLIC RELATIONS STUDENT DIRECTOR
Jessica Pickett is a senior at Georgia State University in Atlanta, Georgia. She is a journalism/public relations major with a minor in music management. She became involved with Beethoven Found through her enrollment in a GSU PR writing course. She grew up fortunate enough to attend a private school in Honolulu, Hawaii that provided her the opportunity to be involved in choir, band and orchestra. She grew up playing the trumpet and orchestral bass and is currently learning to play the acoustic guitar. Her passion for music and her firm belief that every child should have classical musical training as a part of their full education led her to pursue involvement with an organization such as Beethoven Found.

Jessica is a member of the Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA), Georgia State University Chapter. She is also a contributing editorial writer for the PRSSA Forum – a nationally published newspaper. In addition to this, Jessica is also a member of Grammy U, a unique community of college students who are pursuing a career in the music industry. Since October 2009 she has been interning with Clear Channel Communications, WKLS/Project 9-6-1 – Atlanta’s #1 rock radio station. Her internship provided her the opportunity to become the Saturday night on-air talent for WKLS HD2/Project 9-6-2, The Alternative Project. She has been hosting her radio segment since the beginning of 2010.

Jessica hopes to find a career in concert promotion and tour management through the utilization of her journalism experience and public relations knowledge, in addition to her extensive knowledge of music culture and business.
